Jacob Quirin Fox is an LF/1B, for the Chicago Cubs. Fox was on the 40-man for most of 2008, but never got to play. He was on the roster as a catcher, but at some point in the offseason, Fox got switched back to LF.  In 2007, Fox played LF/1B and batted .143 with a .200 OBP in 7 games.


In game two of Spring Training, Fox hit a 3-run home run that gave thwe Cubs the lead which they would maintain to win the game. He was the 2nd Cubs and 2nd Cub's 1st basemen to hit a home run that preseason, Micah Hoffpauir hit a grand slam after being moved from DH (despite the game being between the Cubs and Dodgers, two NL teams) to 1st.
